PJ’s Coffee adding ground-coffee blends

PJ’s Coffee of New Orleans is expanding its product line to include packages of ground coffee.It will begin selling 12-ounce ground-coffee blends in July in select grocery outlets in Louisiana and Mississippi, a news release said.

It will offer five ground-coffee selections: PJ’s Carnival Blend, French Roast, Decaf, Chicory on Chartres, plus a seasonal choice with Southern Wedding Cake being the first seasonal. The blend’s suggested retail price is $8.99.PJ’s Coffee, which began selling single-serve cups in grocery outlets a year ago and sells whole-bean bagged coffee in its PJ’s coffeehouse locations, “is looking forward to developing a stronger sense of brand identity with its customers with the launch of in-store, ground coffee,” the release said.
