PJ's Coffee Vietnam Announces Finalists of the Barista Competition for Amateurs 2017

The Barista Competition for Amateurs 2017 has completed the Semi-Final round last Sunday at PJs Coffee Sala. The top 4 competitors from the Semi-Final will compete in the Final round on Sunday 25th March to win the awards of a Da Lat trip and a professional Barista training course from Saigon Coffee Academy.Organized by PJs Coffee Vietnam, the Barista Competition for Amateurs 2017 was designed for residents and officers in the surrounding Sala urban area, District 2, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Prior to the first round, each contestant was paired up with a PJs Coffee barista to learn how to make coffee and to learn and practice their Latte Art skills by using the facilities at Saigon Coffee Academy a partner of PJs Coffee.
During the first round, judges evaluated the 16 competitors on their ability to prepare and present beverages with beautiful Latte Art. 7 qualifying contestants competed in the second round that challenged them to show off their skills and knowledge about Espresso.
The 2017 Barista Competition for Amateurs is a chance for local residents and officers in the Sala area to meet their neighbors, to learn what other people are doing and to learn and spread a little bit of our coffee culture. At PJs Coffee Vietnam, we believe that everyone can become a barista as long as you love coffee and want to learn more. The final round of the PJs Coffee Barista Competition for Amateurs 2017 is scheduled on March 25th which will focus on contestants knowledge about Latte Art, Espresso and coffee theory. Coffee experts and representatives of PJs Coffee Vietnam will be invited to be part of the jury.
